I got your letters and I am doing good, like I always say I can’t complain.
I don’t work in the kitchen anymore, I decided to take the job working for the Highway Dept picking up paper. I walk at least 4 to 5 miles a day. When I tell you its hot – its very hot, but I enjoy the sun and air. It also gives me a piece of mind. Its not really a paying job but they pay $2.00 a day ($40.00 a month) just to say its not slave labor. Which I hadn’t received a check yet and I been out there over a month.
Before I forget I read halfway in that book “The Fire Maker”. I’m not to big on murder mysteries. But I’m gonna finish it. Its been so hot, to even sit still to read a book.
I’m not gonna go into to much because I wanna talk about this book. I like your idea, but I want to say this. You want him to be in prison at the age of 15. You said he’s trying to find a way out the cycle he’s in. I know cycle can mean a long period of time. But lets look at this as a ongoing of current event. (Boys home or Juvenile Detention and in and out of prison). As the story starts to develop you can see in the letters I’ve written to you that most of my life I’ve been in and out of trouble.
I also feel that my crimes would not let me have a equal opportunity like most people had.
Ok the grandmother part. My grandmother was somewhat like my mother. In fact I called her mother. So you know how to define her. I know she didn’t see no wrong in me, even when people told her I was wrong. She held on to the Christian values and that’s what governed her life.
I do believe its gonna be a wonderful story. Most people look forward to a successful ending but I think you will give them something different and very hopeful.
I’m just as excited as you are. So whenever you get ready you can write away. I’m all in 110%. I think we both go to be fully committed to this. Straight up raw determination.
That was a very interesting article you sent. I can see the people here in the south placing their Christian beliefs in someone or something that they feel benefits them. Its funny who and what they follow. This will be the perfect article for you to expose the hypocrisy in Southern churches. But I don’t think all of them act out like this.
Well I wanted to get this in the mail so you can start on the first chapter.
